Poor child can schools in International-standard school too

PALEMBANG, KOMPAS.com - Children from poor families can be studied at an international school as long as it passed the entrance test with report score an average of seven.

"No matter the origin report score an average of seven," said Erdes Maboti, Deputy Head of School SMP Negeri 1 Palembang, Tuesday (15/06/2010).

According to him, junior status as an international school longer (RSBI) accepts students from anywhere without having the system of rayon.

"So the primary school graduates, both public and private, or equal, as long as it passed the entrance test with an average value over the seven, it must be accepted without a distinguished family child rich or poor," he said again.

This, said Erdes, quite reasonable because the present education of school-age children start elementary school until high school level domestic / private cost is free as it gets from the government.

To make schools RSBI status is not easy, one of whom must be a national standard schools, and junior high school one was started in 2007, has a language laboratory, and specialized subjects Science, must use English in class.

In addition, the school is now being initiated to achieve ISO 9001-2008 certification and must have a partner school, both domestically and abroad.

"Especially in the country, has done similar work with one school in Denpasar, Bali, and Yogyakarta. In other countries signing new limited partnership, but not yet realized," he said.
